General Hire Terms & Conditions
Before placing a booking with NEED THAT HIRE, we please ask you to read our General Terms & Conditions that we have placed below for your convenience.
- HIRE AND CLIENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Hire and Client Terms and Conditions (herein after referred to as the “Terms”) will come into effect upon placing a hire booking with the ‘Company’ NEED THAT HIRE.
The ‘Company’ is NEED THAT HIRE and the ‘Client’ is any company or individual who hires or has agreed to hire any Products, Goods or Equipment from the Company.
Upon booking, the Client acknowledges their acceptance of the Terms outlined here. During the Hire Period, all Products, Goods or Equipment remain the sole and absolute property of the Company and the Client will be bound by the Terms and undertakes not to sell, assign charge, lend or otherwise distribute the Products, Goods or Equipment unless agreed, with written consent, with the Company.
- BOOKING
Upon booking, a 50% reservation fee is required to reserve your item/s and date/s. This fee is non-refundable. The full remaining balance will be due 12 weeks prior to the hire date.
- PERIOD OF HIRE AND HIRE CHARGES
The prices outlined by the Company are per 24hrs but include a discretionary half day for return. Products, Goods or Equipment must be returned before midday the day after your hire ends. Failure to do so may incur a late returns fee.
- ORDER SUBSTITUES
If necessary, the Company reserve the right to substitute an item for an alternative. For example, if the Product, Goods, or Equipment the Client has booked is not available due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e. breakages, delayed returns, lost item). Should a substitution be necessary, the Company will inform the Client as soon possible. Should a substitute not be available, The Company reserves the right to withdraw our acceptance of your order and a full will be provided.
- DAMAGE
Once the Products, Goods or Equipment has been collected or delivered to your event, The Company requests the Products, Goods or Equipment are checked using our Damage Check sheet. This will be signed by the Client to confirm that the item/s are in good order and any previous damage has been noted. The Client must notify the Company about any discrepancies or damage to the immediately. If discrepancies or damage are not recorded the Client will be fully liable.
In the unfortunate event that items are returned with damage after the Clients hire period, the Client will be responsible for the costs incurred to repair or replace the damaged Product, Goods or Equipment. In the event of loss, The Client is responsible for the costs to replace the lost Product, Goods or Equipment. It is advised that insurance is taken out for any event to prevent any extra expense for the Client.
Discrepancies or Damage can be reported by email to info@needthathire.co.uk or by telephone to 07824 392432. In the event of damage, photographic evidence will be requested.
- CLEANING
Unless otherwise arranged between the Company and the Client, all Products, Goods or Equipment is expected to be returned in the same condition they were prior the Clients hire. Depending on the items, tailored information will be provided upon booking.
If any Product, Goods or Equipment are returned unclean or soiled, the Client will be liable to cover a cleaning fee.
- BOOKING CHANGES
Changes to the Clients booking, whether items or dates, will be subject to availability. The Company will work with the Client to accommodate any changes where possible. Changes must result in the same order value, or above. In the event that this amount is less, the original booking charge will apply.
- CANCELLATION
If cancellation occurs more than 12 weeks before the Client’s booking, a 50% refund will be given upon cancellation. If cancellation occurs 12 weeks before the booking or less, 100% of the fee will be retained by The Company. In all cases, the reservation fee is non-refundable. It is advised that insurance is taken out for any event to cover the Client for any eventuality.
